Surgery Overview:
Cobden Clinic has a permanent vacancy for a full or part time GP. We are a stand-alone medical centre in the township of Cobden and is located adjacent to the Cobden & Health Service. Cobden Clinic is a modern, fully accredited (QPA) facility, which opened in a purpose-built Medical Centre in 2013. Our clinic contains: 3 consulting rooms, two waiting areas, a treatment room (with Hi/Low electric bed) and ample parking for staff and patients.
Job Description:
Given that our three current GPs are male a female GP would be ideal to meet the demands of our female patients. Cobden Clinic is the sister clinic to Timboon Medical Clinic and shares resources. GPs are welcome to divide their time between our two clinics, depending on the needs of their patients. Remuneration rates are negotiable but generally 70% (FRACGP), 65% (without FRACGP) and 60% (GPs under Level 2 or 3 supervision).
Clinical Services:
Cobden Clinic provides a broad range of clinical services, typical of a small regional town. We also provide services to Cobden Health, a 60 Bed Aged Care facility. Specialist care is available in Warrnambool, approx. 50km to the South of Cobden. Pathology tests are taken within the clinic (usually by the Practice Nurse) and collected twice daily by Australian Clinical Labs. Surgery hours are Monday to Friday; 8.30am to 5.30pm.
