Surgery Overview:
Maud Street Medical Centre is a warm and friendly family practice. The philosophy of the practice is altruistic - we serve a conventional GP demographic but have purpose-built the practice to care for needy clients. We cater for the homeless, mental health patients and a substantial number of addiction patients. For the right person there is an opportunity to take over the practice when our principal GP retires.
Job Description:
Full time or Part time GP
Surgery Layout:
We have 3 consulting rooms and a 2 bed treatment room stocked with ECG machine, Spriometry machine, defibrillator, we also have a 1 bed procedure room where skin lesion removals are performed.
Clinical Services:
We provide a comprehensive range of primary care and Chronic disease management, with an acceptance and tolerance of challenging patients - mental health, homeless, and those with addictions.
Administration:
7 day practice opened from 8am - 7pm. Fully staffed with 2-3 reception staff a Registered Nurse and an EEN. Appointments are based 4 an hour
Medicare Status:
MMM1/ RAA 2 / RRMA 3 / Large Rural Centre
Treatment Room:
2 bed treatment room stocked with ECG machine, Spirometry machine, defibrillator, and all equipment needed to run a successful treatment room
Surgery Billing:
Mixed billing practice Standard Consult $65.00 Bulk billing of Children under 16 years, pension card and health care card holders
Circumstances:
Retiring principal is looking for the right person to take over, with a smooth transition period up to 5 years.
