SURGERY OVERVIEW
Pro Health Care Hope Valley was established in October 2015 with the amalgamation of The Pedare Medical Clinic and the Hope Valley Family Practice, both of which have been caring for the local community since 2002.
Four of our doctors have been established in the Hope Valley area since 1989 and take an active role in guiding the future direction of our large medical centre.
SURGERY OWNERSHIP
Pro Health Care Hope Valley is an independent family practice, jointly owned by John-Paul Chitti and three of the surgery’s longest serving doctors.
SURGERY LAYOUT
Our medical practice has 11 consulting rooms and 1 treatment room, consisting of 2 beds. We have a large reception/office area in the front waiting room which seats 6 staff (4 reception and 2 office) There is on-site parking including 2 disability car parks. Each room has its own reverse cycle air conditioner. Some consulting rooms have windows and some have no windows. We have a dedicated GPMP room. The practice has recently undergone a major refurbishment and is extremely well presented.
SURGERY FACILITIES
Our Practice consulting hours are Monday to Friday: 8.30am - 6.00pm and Saturday: 8.30am - 12pm
We have an average of 6-9 Practitioners consulting throughout the day. Appointments vary from 10 minutes to 30 minutes.
TREATMENT ROOM
We have 2 beds in the treatment room, Immunisation Fridge, a steriliser, oxygen (2 cylinders), CPR equipment, wound dressing trolley and equipment, ear syringe equipment (allowing Micro-Scopic Suctioning), ECG, spirometry, Iron Transfusion equipment and other standard equipment you would find in a medical treatment room.
ADMIN SETUP
Pro Health Care have 6 admin/reception staff and an office assistant. There are 6 computers at the front desk. We are Fully Accredited and computerised using Zedmed, Medical Director and Front Desk.
NURSING SERVICES
We have 3 Registered Nurses who work in the treatment room as well as a full-time Chronic Disease Management team to oversee the recalling and implementation of all GPMP’s / TCA’s / Health Assessments / Cycles of Care / etc.
ALLIED HEALTH SERVICES
We have 2 Physiotherapists, 2 Podiatrists, Dietician, Psychologist, Massage Therapist, Audiologist
Our surgery also has visiting audiology and bone density screening services, usually on a monthly basis.
SPECIALIST SERVICES
Hope Valley is only 20 minutes from Adelaide CBD and there are a wide range of specialists available in the area.
DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES
Clinical Labs are located onsite and are open Monday-Friday 8.30am-4.30pm.
OTHER CLINICAL SERVICES
Practitioners provide skin cancer screening and preventative health checks, and perform excisions. We run GPMP Clinics Monday-Friday.
PATIENT DEMOGRAPHICS
The Total Patient Population of the practice is 31,700. There is a broad mix of cultures and age groups. Languages spoken by our GPs include Italian, Mandarine, Indian and Yugoslavian.
BILLING ARRANGEMENTS
We are a mixed billing practice, bulk billing children, pensioners and card holders.
PATIENT FLOWS
Our patient flow varies from 10 minutes to 30 minutes on average. Practitioners see between 4-6 patients per hour and all practitioners generally operate a full list of patients on any given day.
TOWN/SUBURB FACILITIES
Hope Valley is located 15 km North East of Adelaide CBD and is within easy driving distance of all the facilities this city has to offer.
TOURIST INFORMATION
Hope Valley is within 45 minutes of the Barossa Valley & McLaren Vale Wine regions and only 40 minutes from Henley & Glenelg Beaches.
SKILLS OR INTERESTS SOUGHT
We are seeking to attract a GP that has an interest in a diverse range of medical attributes but with a particular emphasis on family medicine, including Paediatric and Women’s Health.
CIRCUMSTANCES
Our decision to advertise for a new doctor has arisen from organic growth in the practice and a recent refurbishment that has resulted in increased capacity at our surgery. One of our doctors is due to go on maternity leave shortly and we are looking for an additional GP to assist in taking over some of the overflow throughout this period of time.
CONTRACT TERMS
Our doctors receive 65% of billings.
We request a minimum presence of 2-3 days / week to ensure the continuity of care for our patients including the timely follow up of results. There is no particular preference for days at this point in time. Our doctors are required to participate in a Saturday roster also.
