Robina Bulk Billing Medical Centre have a vacancy for a full time General Practitioner in our immaculately appointed medical practice on the Gold Coast. We are committed to a “whole person” approach to our patient's medical treatment, and review their physical, mental and emotional well-being to provide high-quality medical care and advice.

Robina Bulk Billing Medical Centre has been established in Robina for the past 14 years. The surgery originally opened on Laver Drive in May 2005 with one doctor and one receptionist. In March of 2009 we relocated to our existing premises which is three times larger and much more comfortable. The current owner took over the surgery in 2017 and it is now a modern, spacious facility with plenty of room for doctors and staff, and wheelchair access for patients. With a strong patient base and our capacity to provide a wide range of health services, our surgery is well positioned for strong and sustainable growth into the future.

Our practice is ideally located within a shopping strip, alongside a range of allied health services, a pharmacy and cafes and plenty of off-street parking for patients. We are located on Robina Parkway at the Southern end of the Gold Coast, within 5 minutes of Mermaid Waters, Burleigh Waters, Bond University and Miami Beach.

We are committed to promoting health, wellbeing and disease prevention to all of our patients. We do not discriminate in the provision of excellent care, and we aim to treat all patients with dignity and respect. Our staff enjoy a friendly and relaxed working environment and tend to stay longterm. As a result, we have a very low staff turnover.

Robina is notable as one of the first communities in Australia to be a master planned residential community. In the 2016 census, Robina had a population of 23,106 people. The Robina Town Centre shopping centre, Bond UniversityCbus Super Stadium and Robina Branch Library are located in Robina.

Robina offers the full range of schooling from Kindergarten right through to Grade 12. Primary education is provided by Robina State School (opened in 1990) and secondary education at Robina State High School (1996). Bond University has its main campus at Robina.

Robina is also home to one of the two public hospitals on the Gold Coast. The Robina Hospital was originally a private hospital and was purchased by Queensland Health in 2002. An Emergency Department was built in 2007 and a larger expansion opened in 2011 doubling the size of the hospital to 364 beds, making it the sixth largest in Queensland. The new development includes clinical teaching facilities for Bond University.

The Robina Health Precinct, which opened in 2012, is located on a nearby site to the Robina Hospital and houses community and sub-acute services. Ongoing development of health services in Robina has seen the creation of a healthcare hub in the suburb, with the Robina Health Precinct, Robina Hospital and additional community health services located at the Campus Alpha building all located within 350 metres of each other.

Robina Town Centre is the location for Cbus Super Stadium which was completed in early 2008. The stadium has a seating capacity of over 27,000, and is rectangular, meeting the requirements of rugby league, football and rugby union. The stadium is home to the Gold Coast Titans NRL team since 2008 and the Queensland Country NRC team since 2014. It was also the home to the now defunct Gold Coast United soccer team from 2009 to 2012. In 2011, the Australian Rugby Union announced that Australia's leg of the IRB Sevens World Series would move to Robina Stadium for at least the next four years and the tournament was rebranded as the Gold Coast Sevens. The rugby sevens tournament at the 2018 Commonwealth Games was held at the Robina Stadium.

We are seeking an experienced VR GP with a genuine desire to be a part of a team and who is as patient focused as we are.

One of our long term, full time GP’s has recently moved on to another role, but his patient base remains with us, creating a great opportunity for a full time GP to take over this patient base and meet ongoing local patient demand.

We have a need for a full time GP but would consider a part time role. Preferred hours would be Monday to Friday: 8am – 5pm.

There is no on call, after hours, or nursing home visits and no teaching responsibilities. A competitive percentage rate is offered, dependant on skills and experience.
