BUSINESS OVERVIEW
We have a solo medical practice for sale near Parramatta, in the Western Suburbs of Sydney. Established in 1983, the surgery has a prominent street front position within a residential property, on the fringes of a commercial area. It is located close to a major shopping precinct and railway station. The principal is prepared to remain at the practice on a part time basis for a six month handover period.
PROPERTY
The property is 165 sqm in size and owned outright by the principal. They would be happy to negotiate any reasonable lease duration. The practice currently has a single consulting room but with the possibility for another 2 or 3 rooms. The premises are significantly under-utilised, and there is plenty of room for expansion.
FINANCIAL
The medical practice is fully bulk billing which is consistent with the surrounding area. Patient numbers for the 2017/2018 Financial year were 8,544, or 164 patients per week. Gross billings for the 12 months to 30th June 2019 were $277k.
CLINICAL SERVICES
Clinical services at the practice are very broad and can be best described as general family medicine. The surgery currently does not have any in-house allied health, specialist or diagnostic services.
ADMINISTRATION
The practice is fully computerised, paperless, and uses Best Practice. It is AGPAL accredited through to Dec 2019. Consulting hours are: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays (8.30am to 5 or 6.00pm). We understand the medical centre employs one receptionist, covering the practice 4 days/wk. and one casual receptionist working 1 day/wk. There is no practice nurse, however the practice has a contract nurse that does Home Assessments for over 75 year old patients.
