Mowbray Medical is seeking a permanent General Practitioner to join our medical practice in Launceston, Tasmania. Our medical practice is experiencing unprecedented patient demand, to the extent that we are booked out 2 weeks in advance. We can offer an incoming GP a full appointment schedule and a broad range of clinical presentations.
Mowbray Medical was purchased by the current owners in August 2014. Prior to this, it had been operating as a solo practice on the same location for some 20 years. Since acquiring the practice, we have been slowly developing the practice facilities and building up our patient base.
Our initial step was to expand the surgery to the neighbouring premises which allowed the addition of two more consulting rooms and a treatment room for our nurse. In 2016 we conducted further extensions to the practice, allowing additional consulting rooms, a larger treatment room, chronic disease management room, practice manager's office, an up-to-date administration area, staff kitchen and a pathology collection room for Tasmanian Medical Laboratories. In 2017 we added another treatment room, a larger waiting area and an allied health/training room.
